Weighing pellets for better accuracy.

Weighing pellets for better accuracy.

PostAuthor: Rohit B » Mon Jun 19, 2017 12:07 pm

Greetings!

Have any of you tried sorting pellets out by weight for better groups at longer distances?

Any suggestions for a weighing scale that measures in grains?

you can easily buy mini digital scales online. ebay, amazon etc. even the most basic of them are fairly accurate and measure from 0.01-200g.
But getting accuracy from cheap pellets purely based on weight would not be possible as variance in skirt shape and head are common and will affect accuracy.
If you are looking for match grade accuracy there are pellets available that are hand sorted and individually packed.

Totally Agreed.
Though I am not an expert airgunner, to achieve required degree of accuracy I suggest to use Match grade imported pellets of standard companies like H&N ,JSB etc.....
