You would know your Diana by;
a) In 1980's all Diana air rifles had Aluminium triggers, whats on yours?
b) Never had a safety latch on a Diana 35.
c) Whats embossed as the year of manufacture on your Diana. Diana air rifles post 1974 have a date of manufacture.
d) Does your Diana wear steel or Fibre optic sights?

Sitar i doubt your mail is tampered. Can you show us the screen shot of the original mail ?

As you told me that in your diana the date of manufacturing is 2008 and as per the mail you qouted says it was manufactured in 1980... I am confused ...

sorry, but DIANA mod. 35 has been manufactured from 1953 up to 1987.
Therefore it's possible that this air rifle is 40 years old.
Maybe you can send us the serial number to check it.
