After 25 years as Patterson's floor rugs, the lions' skins were sold to the Chicago Field Museum in 1924 for a sum of US$5,000 (US $66,389.37 in 2012).
The lions' skins arrived at the museum in very poor condition. The lions were then reconstructed and are now on permanent display along with the original skulls.

The Tsavo Man-Eaters on display in the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois.

a very realistic movie. the lions were shown with manes in the movie probably to make them look more intimidating but the movie very well portrays the terror of living in the shadow of maneating lions.

One of my top 5 movies for sure and it was on day before yesterday! Then I remembered this absolutely awesome post :)
I am not well versed with firearms but wanted to ask this - Were the 3 Indian guys hired to wait inside the carriage trap set by Patterson using Lee Enfields?
