Who has asked you for an arms license for an airgun ? You do not need a license for buying air rifle or air pistol. and IOF don't make air guns.

Shams you can buy an air rifle / pistol of .177 or .22 calibre anywhere in India, without a licence or permission. Visit any gun shop and purchase what you like.

IHP - National make decent Air Rifles in India. We will put a sticky on their models and prices here soon.

The price is not known yet, but it should be in the circa of Rs. 60,000 to 75,000. They do manufacture .30-06 cartridges already.

according to indian arms act any air arms having velocity more then 550ft/sec or have a calibar larger then .22 needs a licence
it was amended by order of SC after ''people for annimal'' made a apeal about ban air wepons as tis useing in killing of animals and birds in back 1999

and about .30-06' it will be in market soon without scope and with only 3 rounds clip.

i will inform u about that
