PostAuthor: kvborbora » Thu Feb 21, 2013 4:29 pm

Greetings to all,

I have a voere .22lr with open sight. I want to start shooting in competitions.
I don't want to buy a new .22 for it for now as my voere does preety good.
I just want to know what are the changes I have to make to the gun to take part.
And also some guidance from all.

Thanks

Hello,

First of all... How good is Pretty good...?? Since in small-bore rifle shooting 'Good is not enough' to get u a respectable score... To add to the misery, the MQS to become a 'Renowned Shot' is 560/600... which requires a lots & lots of practice alongwith a very-accurate Match-grade Rifle...

So, first of all, before you decide to make any alterations on the rifle, i would suggest, check the accuracy of the rifle... Shoot some 5-6 '5-shot' Groups using a Scope on a bench-rest position from a 50 meter distance... Unless, the rifle - ammo combination consistently gives u a group size of 0.4 inches or less... its not worth the effort...

But, in case, it gets u that kind of results... plz do let us know... will take it further from there...

All the Best...!!
