A rifle scope

A rifle scope

PostAuthor: binodyumnam » Sat Mar 11, 2017 7:45 pm

Good evening Sir, my name is Binod Yumnam from Imphal. I am a big fan of airgun since my childhood. I recenty bought a precihole airgun and a scope which is not convenient for my using purpose.

I bought this airgun for pests control but the scope is not doing well as my look out distance is very much far from it. So could you please give me a kind consideration that will help me out. If there happens to be a scope for my requirements I could buy a scope from you. I want a scope that has ---
10*36 likely. Thank you Sir

Dear Binod, there is no point in going in for such high magnification unless and until you are using a firearm that too for a very long range Target.
For Airguns 3x9 is more than sufficient and that too for a Precihole which is not as powerful as some other air rifles.

True, anything more than a 3-9 would be overkill for the precihole and will cost way more than your gun, not to mention will make it way too heavy at top. Best stick to a good 3-9x40.

Thnx guys for replying very soon. Please advice me some websites that i could browse up for it. I heard some custom duties restricted importing scopes, so, I bought a bushnell 4*20 from a local gun store in Manipur and they cost me 6k and it couldn't survive the springer's recoil unfortunately. Please :please: help me out. I am new to this game. Thanks

Springer Air rifles cannot be scoped even with the best air rifle rated scopes, single piece triple binding mounts and hydlaulic scope creep arrestors. So give up the attempt and focus on iron sight shooting.

For your Gun & purpose, even a 4x32 is sufficient.I have seen some shooters who use 4x32 for .22LR. You can get A good 4x32 scope for less than 10K. If the dealer is ready, get it exchanged.

I know of only Hawke Vantage 4*32 that is spring rated.

Shahid is right, even the best springer rated scopes are not sure to last forever. Leapers and Hawke are best bets if you like to gamble.

Common seniors let's not just demotivate the Binod.

Find any 4*32 Bushnell or hawke with a single piece mount with stoper pin and I bet that it won't loose zeroing forever.

Right now I using a Bushnell 4*32with single piece mount on my Sdb Artemis .22 which is still 14+ air gun and more powerful than any prechihole springer or nitropiston and it's still holding the zeroing plus the lense.so go for it.

A Bushnell 4*32 will be available at approx 6k plus one piece single piece mount will cost u around 2k so we are looking for approx 8 k . But believe me after that you will be amazed to see the potential and reach of your airrifle.

I doubt if a genuine Bushnell can be had for that price. There r lot of fake ones in market, beware.

Sportsman series, now discontinued but available with some dealers, is in that price range. Hawke Vantage 4x is also possible and its springer rated.
